12.2 Circulatory System
What does Blood Contain
Blood contains Oxygen, Red Blood cells, white blood cells, and nutrients
What happens in your circulatory system?
First your heart pumps the blood out of it. Then it will push all of the blood throughout the body. When it gets to the lower body it will release all of the useless
what does the blood do with the intestines
When the blood enters the intestine it collects all of the nutrients and takes the nutrients that is needs. All of the left overs are waste and is then sent out of the body.
What does it do in your lungs
Inside of your lungs the oxygen that you breath in goes into the lungs and is put into the blood then the carbon dioxide that is in the blood leaves the blood goes into the lungs and is released when you exhale.
Where is the right ventricle
The right ventricle is on the right side under the atricle
How does the blood change it's appearance
The true color of the blood is red. But from our eyes if the blood has more oxygen it will look more blue. But if it has less oxygen it will appear closer to green
How long is the circulatory system
The whole system is almost a quarter mile long
Why do pictures show one side as being red and the other blue
They do this to show which side is pushing the blood out of the heart and through the body. The other color means that this is taking the blood that has traveled throughout the body back into the body.
What is a Capilary
A capilary is a smaller vessel that breaks of from the larger vessels.
What is a centricle
A centricle is the smallest of blood vessels
What is an artery
An artery is the thickest vessel in the system
What color is your blood
The color of the blood is always red but it is the amount of oxygen that can change the appearance
Where is the left atricle
The left atricle is on the left side above the ventricle
