Name the four influences on health status, state the relative proportion of each influence, and describe the control an individual has over each influence.

Four influences on health status is people's medical care which is known to be 10% of your health status. Many people don't have very much control over there own health status. The second health status is your environment which is 20% of your health status people have more control over their environment. The third health status is your lifestyle which counts for 40% of your health status. You have more control over your lifestyle status than any of the other three health statuses. Your last health status is genetics which is 30% and you have no control over your genetics health status.

Explain the difference between infectious and noninfectious diseases and give examples of each.

The difference between infectious and noninfectious diseases are infectious is when another person can get it and noninfectious is when a person can't get the diseases have. An example of an infectious diseases is HIV or AIDS, the flu, common cold, or strep throat. An example of noninfectious diseases is cancer, diabetes, or cardiovascular diseases.

Define the term lifestyle and give at least five examples of lifestyle influences on health status.

The term lifestyle means the decisions your make in your life and choices. Five examples of lifestyle influences on your health status are; 1. Tobacco usage 2. Drinking alcohol 3. Behavior factors 4. Cultural factors 5. Sexual factors

Explain the term risk factors and describe how to reduce your risk of developing two different diseases.

The term risk factors means a person's chances are increased of developing diseases. Lung cancer is a risk factor disease that you can reduce your risk of getting. To reduce your risk of lung cancer don't smoke and always eat a healthy diet with less sugars. Cardiovascular diseases is another risk factor that you can reduce the risk of getting. To reduce this risk you can keep a healthy weight or limit saturated fats from your meals and foods that are high in sodium.
