William Howard Taft

(Republican) President after Roosevelt, he was the most conservative of the 3 progressive presidents, but he was still known as a "trust buster"

16th, 17th, 18th, 19th Amendments (Progressive Amendments)

16th-gave us an income tax 17th-gave us direct election of senators 18th-gave us prohibition (banned alcohol) 19th-women's suffrage (right to vote)

Progressivism

A movement in the late 19th century and early 20th century that believed government had a moral responsibility to correct the ills/problems caused by the Gilded Age and Industrial Era
