Native American groups built mounds to honor their dead. Religious ceremonies and burials were held here.

Anasazi People-

One of the earliest farming cultures in North America. They lived in the Southwest in 1500 BC. Were farmers, wove straw, and were skilled potters. Lived in Pueblos and also built Kivas.
