Arthur/Guinevere/ Lancelot Lancelot was one of Arthur's most loved knights, and one of the first knights to be mentioned in Arthurian Legend. He is also famous for starting a love affair with Guenevere (Arthurs third wife), causing a massive love triangle to ensue between Arthur, Guenevere, and Lancelot. This love triangle is commonly considered as a destructive force, and a main cause for the fall of Camelot.

Arthur/Guinevere/Lancelot -this story brings up the theme of not trusting even your greatest friends, because Arthur trusted Lancelot who betrayed him by having an affair with his wife -Another theme that arises is the theme of guarding your possessions because Arthur could have guarded his wife more.

Avalon Home to Lady of the Lake and center of the Old Religions. The final resting place of Sir Lancelot and Sir Elyan. It is also home to the Sidhe, the immortal race of winged blue creatures who Merlin battles with for Arthur's soul in The Gates of Avalon. The Lake is the only other gateway to the land of the dead other than the Pool of Nemhain and it is also the final home of Arthur's great sword Excalibur.

Avalon -Avalon somewhat shows a theme of a promised land because it is so sacred and is home to many things

Camelot Camelot was where King Arthur lived, and where the Round Table was used as the central meeting place for Arthur's Knights. In either Britain or Wales.

Camelot -Camelot has a theme of being somewhere that is a place of power because that is where the knights met

Holy Grail The Holy Grail was a vessel used by Christ at the Last Supper. At the Court of King Arthur, however, it was prophesied that the Grail would one day be rediscovered by a descendant of St. Joseph: the best knight in the land, the only man capable of sitting in the mysterious Siege Perilous. Perceval discovered the castle in a land that was sickly like its spear-wounded King. He failed to ask of the grail and left empty-handed. Lancelot next reached Corbenic, but was prevented from entering because he was an adulterer. Finally Galahad arrived and was permitted entry to the Grail Chapel and allowed to gaze upon the great cup. His life became complete and together grail and man were lifted up to heaven.

Holy Grail -The grail represents a theme of a great quest because Arthur and his knights went on this great adventure in order to find this grail -The grail also represented power because whoever had it would be a man of great power

Merlin Merlin is the son of a devil and a human woman with predictive powers which he uses for good ends. He assists Uter to sleep with Ygwern, from which union Arthur is born and placed by Merlin with foster parents. When Uter dies and a new king is sought, Arthur pulls the sword from the stone, proving his right to the throne. Rebel kings do not accept Arthur's authority and Merlin advises him to summon kings Bors of Gawnes and Ban of Benoic for support.Throughout the lives of Arthur and his sons, Merlin is there to advise them.

Merlin -A theme that comes from the story of Merlin is that things that seem that they should be bad arent always bad because Merlin is a child of the devil, yet he is a good adviser for Arthur

Mordred King Arthur's son through a one night stand with his half-sister. Mordred is able to seize England by using the breakdown of the knights of the Round Table to his advantage

Mordred -Mordred shows a theme of power being above family ties

Morgan Le Fay Arthurs aunt on his mothers side, who is constantly plotting mysteriously. She is a sorceress and magician, always getting in the way. She is after power, but she never gets it, so after she is defeated once and for all, her behavior resembles that of a moody child and a sore loser. At the end of Arthur's life, however, she is one of the four women who carries Arthur away to Avalon in an attempt to heal him.

Morgan Le Fay -Morgan Le Fay portrays a theme that women also have power to do things -She also shows a theme of being mysterious

Nimue/Vivienne, Lady of the Lake She was originally thought to be sister of Queen Mab and in the old films and stories is thought to have kept the sword Excalibur at the bottom of the lake until Merlin asked for a weapon to slay his enemies and find a new king. The Lady of the Lake is most renowned for her part in Arthurian legend. Depending on the variant, characters' roles other than giving King Arthur his sword Excalibur include enchanting Merlin, and raising Lancelot after the death of his father.

Nimue/Vivienne, Lady of the lake -Nimue shows a theme of being a very mysterious character because she is very strange and it's hard to understand the things she does

Perceval A knight was plagued by remorse for riding off to join King Arthur's court despite seeing his mother faint from grief.

Preceval -Preceval's story shows a theme of being guilty for what you could have done because he might have been able to save people's lives if he would have asked the right questions

Sir Gawain & the Green Knight Sir Gawain was challenged by a mysterious green creature (the Green Knight), offering Gawain to hit him with his axe, and in exchange, the Green Knight would be allowed to deliver him a blow exactly a year and a day later. Sir Gawain accepts, and beheads the Green Knight. To his surprise, the Green Knight then gets up, picks up his head, and tells Sir Gawain not to forget the day he must take a hit. The poem goes on to describe Gawain's journey to find the spot where he will receive the blow.

Sir Gawain & the Green Knight -The theme of this story is to know your enemy, as if sir Gawain knew his he would not have accepted -another theme is to be cautious of things that may seem stange.

Uther and Igraine King Arthur's father, a mighty ruler named Uther, fell in love with a noble lady Igraine, but she wouldn't have anything to do with him. At the time, there was a powerful wizard named Merlin, who promised Uther that he could make Igraine fall in love with him, if he would give Merlin his firstborn child. Merlin changed Uther's appearance and made him look like a man Igraine had loved very much, and so Igraine married Uther. When Arthur was born, his father sent him to live with Merlin.

Uther and Igraine -The theme of what people will do for love is great in this story, because Uther gives up his first born child for love -Another theme of the story is that fate controls life, because it was Arthur's fate to be given to Merlin

Excalibur The Excalibur sword was the sword of King Arthur. In some stories, it was said to have magical powers. Although it is commonly thought that Excalibur and the Sword in the Stone are the same sword, the story actually says that the Sword in the Stone would determine the rightful heir to the English throne (if that person could pull it out), while Excalibur was given to King Arthur after he'd started his rule as king.

Excalibur -the sword had a theme of being a powerful heir to the throne because king Arthur ruled with it as his weapon
