Articulations, also called joints, are junctions in the body where bone connects to bone. Bone is a dense and strong structure that is located internally and supports the frame and movement of the body. The human body has many different articulations, which are essential for making possible flexibility and movement. Articulations have a unique structure and are supported by a special kind of tissue known as connective tissue.
