Tell us about your previous childcare experiences.

Through the years i have watched over many children. So i know the basics like how to put them to bed, play with them and take good care of them. But I also know some more like how to react if something happens to the child.

Why you want to be an Au Pair?

I really like to be an Au Pair because I love children, I like to talk to them, play with them, be around them and just see them be themselves; I also want to get to know a new culture, want to improf my english-skills and to become apart of other peoples life; i hope to gather valuable memories, get great experiences and meet people that I'll chrish for the rest of my life

What characteristics must have an au pair?

an Au PAir should be open, friendly, helpful, reliable and cheerful

What three words would you use to describe yourself?

dependable, caring, funny

What activities would you do?

depending on how old the kids are i will make little trips for example to a playground, go to the cinema, go swimming or do picknicks. Maybe we can cake cookies or something like that.

What expectations you have?

i think a an aupair you have the task to help the family with easy household duties, to take care of the children, to act and integrate as a family member, take part in family activities and maybe share a bit of my culture with the host family

How should be your perfect family?

i think a perfect family does not depend on how many children there are, but the relationship must agree themselves, either it fits, what i think or it does not fit

what would you do if you get homesick?

i would integrate more myself on the family life and would distract myself with trips and excursions in order to think not of my home

Introduction

my name is Saskia, I am 19 years old, come from Langenfeld a city close to Cologne which is in the western part of Germany, I am living together with my parents, my sister and my dog, this year I will graduate my A-levels at my school, my hobbies are doing sports, I have played in a volleyball club for six years but now I am doing my training at a gym, i like playing piano or drawing pictures and so on , I like spending time with my family and with my friends, besides school I work as a shop assistant at a big fashion label

Which country wold you prefer?

the family is most important for me, so the ity is relativ unimportant, but it would be nice to find a family in the near of new york city

What say your family and friens to that?

they supports me wherever they can, they find it brave and good that i want to make this step.
