classical conditioning

Behaviors can be associated with responces

Erikson

Developed the psychosocial theory, this theory states that personality development occurs during 8 stages of life. At each stage, people face and must successfully resolve a physiological or social conflict. If they do not, their unsuccessful resolution will affect future stages of their development.

Bandura

Developed the social cognitive theory, this theory states that people observe and imitate the behaviors of others and reactions are filtered by others thoughts/reactions. Ex: parent scared of spider, so the kids naturally are.

Pavlov

Developed the theory of Classical Conditioning, this theory states behaviors can be associated with responses.

Skinner

Developed the theory of operant conditioning, this theory states that people tend to repeat behaviors that's have a positive result/reinforced

operant conditioning

People repeat behaviors that have a positive result. Ex candy and stickers for getting the right answer

psychosocial theory

Personality development is determined by the interaction of an internal maturational plan and external societal demands

Kohlberg

developed stages of moral development, this theory states that there are three levels of mortal development. Beginning in childhood, everyone follows the same progression, although not all individuals attain the highest level.

Vygotsky

developed the sociocultural theory, this theory states that children are social beings and develop their minds through interactions with parents, teachers, and other students.

Piaget

developed theory of cognitive development, this theory identifies the four stages of cognitive development in which each stage, individuals incorporate new experiences into what they know. Based on skills they have developed earlier from previous stages.

social cognitive theory

people learn how to behave and shape attitudes by observing the behaviors of others

sociocultural theory

the approach that emphasizes how cognitive development proceeds as a result of social interactions between people

Cognitive Theory

theory of human development that focuses on changes in how people think over time. According to this theory, our thoughts shape our attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors.
