scapula or shoulder blade, and a clavicle or collar bone

Sternal end of the clavicle

the blunt, medial extremity, which articulates with the manubrium of the sternum

the large, slightly depressed surface on the anterior side

lateral (axillary) border of the scapula

the lateral edge, which is near the axilla

medial (vertebral) border of the scapula

the medial edge, which is near the vertebral column

Spine of the scapula

the narrow ridge of the posterior side

The acromial end of the clavicle

the slightly flattened lateral extremity, which articulates with the acromion of the scapula
