-a person's understanding based on what is observed or thought -it will change the way you look at hw and studying (it will benefit you later on)

Define confidence. How can confidence get you motivated to do your homework?

-belief in oneself and one's abilities -find study buddies -can help you gain confidence where you need it most

What are some ways you can improve your sleep pattern?

-get 9 and a half hours of sleep -get rid of distractions (turn of electronics) -avoid coffee after 4 pm -maintain sleep schedule

What are some tips to help you develop a homework routine?

-keep a daily agenda -devote nights w/ no hw to long-term projects or study for upcoming events -tackle most difficult assignments first

Why is eating breakfast important, and what healthy foods would you be willing to incorporate into your breakfast?

-poor eating habits can cause behavioral & emotional problems, weight gain & obesity, and lower grades

How can your teachers, guidance counselor, and family help support you in your studies?

-they can answer questions and provide help on what is best for you

a schedule designed by you that includes: -a start time -break times -an end time -a designated study space free of distractions =study material
