1. Does the venture capital firm in fact invest in your industry? How many deals has the firm actually done in your field? 2. What is it like to work with this venture capital firm? Get references. (An unscreened list of referrals, including CEOs of companies that the firm has been successful with—as well as those it has not—can be very helpful.) 3.
