Animatins > Custom Animations numbers that identify each animated element and the order in which they appear are displayed on the slide CClick play to preview animations

Inserting a movie or GIF

In Normal View, Click Insert> Movie > MOvie from File to display Insert Movie dialog box wit ha list of movie files Inst > Movie > Movie from Clip Organizer to display Clip Art task pane Can select movie to play Automatically or When Clicked in a slideshow

Inserting a hyperlink

Insert > Hyperlink to remove : right click the link and then select remove yperlink from menu

to create photo album

Insert > Photo Album > New Photo Album can add captions and themes to edit or modift click Insert > Phtot Album > Edit Photo Alubum

movie

a digital video file that comes from various sources including digital cameras or illustration software

animated GIF

a file with several graphics that display in sequence and appear animated supported by most browser and good choice for media on the Web Not a movie but treated as such on Ppowerpoint

Animation

a visual effect in which objects appear to move text and objects can be animates to move onto the slide in various ways duringa slideshow select the text or object then Animations > Animate to remove: Animations > Animate > No Animations

sound

an audio file tat can be added to a slide and played during a slide show in Normal View, click Insert > Sound to display a list of sound files in the dialog box and then click Sounds from Clip ORgranizer to display the Clip Art task pane with a list of sounds files Select Automatically or only When Clicked for sound play

annotations

are markings made on a slide that help the audience better understand the content --During a slide show the speaker can add annotations by highlighting and drawing on slides in Slide Show view right click and aselect Pointer Options and then select a pen type from the menu Annotations are removed using Eraser or selecting Erase All Ink on Slide

template

master presentation that includes the basec formatting and elements for particular types of presentations to create a template format a new presentation Select Office > Save As then select PowerPoint Template in the Save as type list to use a template already create go to Offive > NEw and click Installed Templates to view and select local templater, or choose Microsoft Office online to download templates

press Office > SAve AS and select web page a s type and then click browse to slect the location where it should be published

previewing and design considerations for transitions

slide transitions are previewed by clicked the transition icon next to each slide in Slides tab or below each slide in Slide Sorter view Animation > Transition Speed and > Transition Sound Slide transition can be applied to all slides using slide master or multiple selected slides in Slide Sorter view can have transitions applied

the location and manner in which the audience experiences the presentation a live speaker narrates or lectures while the presentation is projected using digital or overhead prjctor onto a large screen in the same room. a live speaker presents to audience members in other locations using collaborative meetin software such as Microsft Ofice Live Meeting etc. Each audience views presentation on their comp while listening to speaker presentation is played on a continuous loop (kiosk at a museum) presentation distributed on CD or published on Web Printed on paper in various layouts

slide transition a removing previewing and design consideration

the way one slide changes to the next in Slide show view On the Animations tab pause pointer on a Transition icon to preview the transition on the Displayed slide and display a screentip with the name of the transition to remove go to Transition gallery in Anmation > No Transtition
