Why did Revolutionaries fear that the Revolution was in danger?
France was at war with much of Europe, peasants were revolting, and the sans-cullottes demanded relief from food shortages.
Committee of Public Safety
A 12 member committee established to deal with threats to France during the Revolution. The committee became tyrannical, abusing their power to get rid off political opponents.

A five man governing body who rules France from 1795-1799. It had dictatorial powers, but was weak and corrupt.

A journalist who demanded equal rights for women with the writing of Declaration of the Rights of Women.
