Crime-Scene Reconstruction

a hypothesis of the sequence of events from before the crime was committed through its commission

Direct evidence

information about a crime provided by a witness who saw the crime, or by a video or audio recording of the crime

Circumstantial evidence

information about a crime that can be inferred from other facts

Trace Evidence

refers to physical evidence that is found in small but measurable amounts, such as strands of hair, fibers, or skin cells.
