Quezon City
This city is located on the Guadalupe Plateau, just northeast of Manila, in the Philippines. The Quezon Memorial Circle, in the city center, is dominated by an art deco-style memorial to former president Manuel L. Quezon. The surrounding gardens contain playgrounds, fountains and the World Peace Bell monument. Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center is a zoo and botanical garden, with a lagoon, crocodiles and peacocks.
Manila
The capital of the Philippines, this is a densely populated bayside city on the island of Luzon, which mixes Spanish colonial architecture with modern skyscrapers. Intramuros, a walled city in colonial times, is the heart of Old Manila. It's home to the baroque 16th-century San Agustin Church as well as Fort Santiago, a storied citadel and former military prison.
Cagayan de Oro
This is a 1st class highly urbanized city in Northern Mindanao, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 675,950 people. It is a chartered city and capital of the province of Misamis Oriental where governance is independent and separate from the province. It also serves as the regional center and business hub of Northern Mindanao.
Cebu
This is a 1st class highly urbanized city of the island of Cebu in the Central Visayas Region, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 922,611 people, making it the fifth most populated city in the nation and the most populous in the Visayas. It is the seat of government and capital for the province of Cebu, but is governed independent and separate from it. The city is a significant center of commerce, trade and education in the Visayas.
Makati
This is a city in the Philippines' Metro Manila region and the country's financial hub. It's known for the skyscrapers and shopping malls of the central business district, and for Ayala Triangle Gardens, an area dotted with trees and sculptures. Ayala Museum houses the Filipinas Heritage Library and craft collections documenting the country's history. The Rizal Monument is a memorial to national hero José Rizal.
