A comma splice is the use of a comma to join two independent clauses.

There are three ways to fix a comma splice: 1) add a period and capitalize the next sentence 2) add a semicolon or 3) add a coordinating conjunctive such as: and, but, for, or, nor, so, yet

A sentence fragment is an incomplete sentence.

You can fix a sentence fragment by adding another sentence that could stand on its own, also called an independent clause.

A fused sentence is the combining of two main clauses with no punctuation.

You can fix it by: 1) adding a period plus capitalization 2) adding a semicolon 3) adding a coordinating conjunctive or 4) using a subordinate conjunctive which reduces one of the clauses to an incomplete thought
