Review the settings for the available options when the computer is plugged in and the lid is closed. Set the laptop to hibernate when the lid is closed while the computer is plugged in. Close the window when you are finished.

Access the power options in Control Panel. View the available power plans and activate the Power saver plan.

Change the plan settings for the Power saver plan. No changes will be made to the On battery settings. Make the following changes to the Plugged in settings: Dim the display: Never Turn off the display: 15 minutes Put the computer to sleep: 30 minutes
Edit Plan Settings, Change the plan settings that are currently available, enter settings (only for plugged in), Save changes.
