Copy and Paste Text

How do you cut and paste?

1. You cut and paste using the Cult and Paste Buttons in the Clipboard group on the Home Tab.

Ways that you can copy text.

1. using the copy button in the clipboard group on the home tab. 2. You can copy text by pressing [Ctrl] as you drag the selected text from one location to another.

What is a Clipboard?

A temporary storage area for text and graphics that you cut or copy from a document.

What happens when you cut text?

Its is removed from the document and placed on the Clipboard.

What is Drag and Drop?

Moving selected text by dragging it to a new location using the mouse.

Why is COPY and pasting text is similar to CUTTING and pasting text but not exactly the same.

The text that you COPY is not removed from the document, rather a COPY of the text is placed on the Clipboard leaving the original text in place.
