Have the second rescuer help with CPR, to minimize fatigue. The ratio of two-person CPR for infants and children is 15:2. One-person CPR for all ages is 30:2.

How long should you check for breathing while performing CPR?

No longer than 10 seconds. Do not stop CPR for more than 10 seconds to check for breathing
