Simple or Direct Analogy

Following example will explain the concept of Simple or Direct Analogy:Earth is related to Axis in the same way as wheel is related to Hub. Here the first rotates about the second.

Arranging

Here the inputs are arranged as per a particular order. For example, number can be arranged as per increasing or decreasing order while word can be arranged as per the order in which they appear in dictionary.

Relationship based on meaning

Identify the given questions odd one out depend on meaning of the words.

Analogy based on Numbers

In these type of Questions a candidate is required to find out the relationship between given groups of numbers related to each other in some way

Analogy based on Alphabet

In these type of Questions a candidate is required to find out the relationship between two given groups of letters related to each other in some way and then choose either a letter group or pair consisting of similarly related letter groups.

Substitution Coding

In this type of coding, different objects are assigned code names.

Shifting

In this type of problems, elements of the given input are shifted (that is, their positions are changed) as per some logic

Selecting a similar word

In this type of questions, a group of three/four inter related words is given. Candidate is required to select a word from the given alternatives that is similar to the given words and hence belongs to the same group.

Input and Output

In this type of questions, a sequence, either in form of a sentence or in numeric form is given. This sequence is popularly known as input. The input is followed by steps of rearrangement to give sequential output. The candidate is required to understand the pattern in the given arrangement and then determine the desired output step, according as asked in the questions.

Classification

In this type of questions, all the options except one are belonging to same category. We have to identify which one is different from the rest

Mixed letter coding

In this type of questions, three or more sentences are given in the coded language and the code for a particular word is asked. To find the code for the particular word, pickup two sentences bearing a common word and the common code word will mean that word. Proceeding in similar manner, we can be determined a particular code word for each word of given sentences.

Coding

It is a method of transmitting a message between the sender and the receiver such that no other person can understand the message.

Decoding

Selecting the Analogies Pair

These problems deal with the age related questions.

Basic concepts of Arithmetic

These problems will require you to use preliminary concepts of Arithmetic like addition, subtraction, division and multiplication.

Concepts of percentages

These problems will require you to use your knowledge of percentages, cost price, sale price, discount etc.

Arithmetical Reasoning

These questions are designed to test your ability to use mathematics to solve various problems that may be found in real life — in other words, math word problems.

Clockwise direction

When a point moves in the direction of hands of clock, then it can be said that the point is moving in CW direction.

Anticlockwise direction

When a point moves in the opposite direction of hands of clock, then it can be said that the point is moving in ACW direction.
