Both Kumalo and Father Vincent discuss a metaphor dealing with a storm approaching. Explain the two different ideas and applications of this metaphor.
Kumalo: feels like a man lying in a field as a storm rolls in and is ignored and not warned by everyone else who is running away. He feels left behind, isolated, betrayed, confused, etc. Vincent: says that when a storm is coming a man fears for his house, but once his house is gone he can get to work on rebuilding. Tried to provide hope that now that Kumalo knows the truth he can begin to work One of the applications with this metaphor is that there is a sleeping man with a storm approaching. The sleeping man cannot predict the storm coming and he can not stop it. Another application is that he does not know when the storm is coming, so it takes him by surprise and destroys his home. He could not stop the storm, but he can fix its destruction. The storm could signify bad things that are about to happen in his life and things he can't prevent them.
