Used to bond single layers of drywall directly to studs or ceiling joists; Must ALWAYS be applied to ceiling drywall sheets

What are Slicks?
Drywall nails with a flat concave head that tapers to thin edges at the rims. Should be installed with a drywall hammer
One Main goal when installing drywall?
Eliminate as many butt joints as possible, especially in the ceiling.
How much allowance should ceiling drywall have when being hung?
From wall to wall, there should be a 1/4" gap at each end

Cement board (Wonder Board). Can resist water in high moisture conditions
What is used to help protect the exterior corners of drywall from damage or impact?

What are 'Deadmen' in construction?
They are supports in the hanging of drywall ceiling sheets that form a "T"
Where can butt joints in drywall not fall? Why is that?
They cannot fall within 3" of the corners of openings; so as to prevent future settling cracks
How far into drywall should fasteners go?
They should be set in only slightly (AKA dimpled). This is for easy concealment.
Where should cut edges of drywall be placed?
Towards any and all corners
