What is your GPA requirement?

3.0 is our minimum, but our historical average in Client Service is above a 3.5

I had a really bad GPA my freshman year, but it's gotten a lot better since then -- though my cumulative GPA took a hit. What should I do? Do I still have a shot?

As long as your GPA is above our program minimum of 3.0, you are eligible! We do recommend highlighting your cumulative GPA, and your GPA since ____.

Will I be invited to interview at your NY/SF office?

At this time, our entire interview process is being conducted virtually

How do I apply?

Core schools: Submit your application through your school's career portal. You also need to click through the embedded AlphaSights careers link to submit your resume through our system. Both applications are required to be considered for virtual on-campus interviews. The AlphaSights app is short and does not require a cover letter. What does the interview process entail? How long is it?

Every stage will be conducted virtually Core school: following resume drop deadline, you will hear from recruiting team of status update and pymetrics Noncore school: you will apply to our career page. We do accept applications on a rolling basis, so the earlier the better. From there, you will be notified if selected for a Pymetrics assessment. First round video interview -> invited to virtual project-based interviews (case study & behavioral situations). Intern process ends here. For full-time hires, you will proceed to a final round where you will meet with the leadership team. Typically 5 weeks, but happy to expedite

What events will you be holding this semester?

If a core school: While we will not be physically visiting campus, we are hosting a number of virtual events that you can engage with. [Refer to campus one-pager for full list of events] If a non-core school: While we won't be on campus this year, we encourage you to learn more about the firm by visiting our blog, website, and youtube channel, or reaching out to an Associate that you'd hope to speak to on LinkedIn.

Do you have opportunities for Sophomores or underclassmen?

Our main internship program is for current juniors/rising seniors. As a freshman/sophomore we encourage you to visit our careers page to sign up for our 'Freshman & Sophomore Talent Community'. By joining the community, our team will keep you up to date on firm news, upcoming events, and opportunities that you can apply to once you become eligible.

What is the salary?

Our salaries are competitive for professional services firms (with our total compensation being comparable to entry level roles in consulting & finance) in NY and SF. We believe total compensation is made up of three main parts: base salary and bonus, skill development and career acceleration, and perks and work environment. We strive to create high value in these categories for our employees.

I've read online that AlphaSights requires a video assessment before you can get a first round interview. Do I need to complete this?

The first step in our interview process for all candidates is the Pymetrics assessment, which is a gamified behavioral assessment that helps us compare our candidates against our core values and desired candidate competencies.

How long do I have to decide before accepting an offer?

Typically 1-2 weeks

Will I receive a sign-on bonus?

We do not currently offer a sign-on bonus, but do understand moving to a new city is expensive. We'd encourage you to speak with your recruiter about available options. [Recruiting Managers can introduce Advance Loan Program up to $3,000]

How many [core school] grads do you have at your company?

We have a substantial [CORE SCHOOL] community who have proven successful in the Associate role (which is why we are here recruiting). We hope to continue to grow the team

What do you look for when hiring someone into your Associate program?

We look for candidates who demonstrate high levels of drive and enjoy working in a fast-paced commercial environment Additionally, we look for collaborative team-players who are confident and are willing to do whatever it takes to meet clients' needs, just because the Associate role works with some of the top tier decision-makers in finance, consulting, and corporate communities, so we do look for high-performing individuals.

What benefits do you offer?

We offer competitive medical, dental and vision benefits, fitness discounts, and 401K matching program after 6 months with the firm. We also have a variety of "perks," such as social events with your team/office, free snacks, breakfast and coffee, and Summer Friday hours. Exact benefits will be addressed when you receive an offer.

Core schools: Should I email you a copy of my resume? Does that count as my application?

We're always taking resumes but that does not count as your application. You will need to submit an electronic application through your career portal.

I'm almost done with my masters [in data analytics]! Can I apply?

Yes, open to all majors and entry-level candidates Do you want to leverage technical skills? If yes, may not be best fit, we this role is build around interpersonal skills and general business acumen

Core schools: If I registered on your virtual info session event page/signed in with you at the virtual career fair, is that all I need to do? Or will I still need to apply?

You do still need to apply, but now that we have your email address, we'll be in touch directly with application instructions.
