Describe a time you were able to find an easier way to solve a problem?

- before my employment at this organic food company, the company was using a traditional printer to print out sticker labels for each product (where the typical outbound product volume is 500+ per day) - the previous employee was manually changing the product codes + using all the office ink - I recommended the zebra printer which is an indirect thermal label printer that uses no ink and set up an excel macro that automatically changed the product codes in ascending order. - As a result, I helped the lady save about 4 hours of tedious work manually typing the product codes, which is absolutely significant especially in a small operations team. - this is a great example and learning experience showing being able to identify and change a small issue like a printer can significantly impact on the operation time and profitability.

"Performance Lab of Califorina S: Interning for a struggling service type startup company T: tasked to help with daily customer service and verbally spread word word about the business A: noticed poor marketing strategy (only instagram and cold calling). Took intiative to start video editing of day to day operations and posting vlogs on facebook, youtube, homepage and contacting potential investors. R: Recently the founder contacted me and told me about his recent merge with a much larger facility and how grateful he was for helping him grow his business. I had changed his approach towards marketing strategy and played a role in this merger. This is one of my greatest accomplishment because I was able to prove to myself that I could succeed in an area that I had no expertise on. I started as an intern, with no authority within the company, but my confidence and passion to learn helped me become a successful leader. All in all, I learned that as long as you present your ideas in a comprehensive plan format and show interest, you can be a leader in any field regardless of your expertise.

Strategized in-house shipping method where we would hire full time driver and purchase a box truck. R: Reduced annual spending to $38000/year which is over 20% savings, even including insurance, registration, potential contingencies. I saved the company a lot of money as well as helped grow the business with an additional employee."

"Tell me about a time when you had to prioritize work Describe a time you were given a task with little or no direction, and how did you handle it? What is the biggest challenge that you have conquered?"

"Warehouse construction S: Working part time off campus + full time engineer student during construction of new warehouse. T: tasked to coordinate with USDA organic certification standards, construction of pallet rack and transporting products from northern california as acting warehouse manager all alone. A: I emailed my professors to excuse my attendance. Needed to prioritize business otherwise we would have entire product compromised and losing hundreds of thousands of dollars. I worked extra hours at night and came early in the morning to ensure product security and warehouse construction. R: When director returned from his business meeting in Chile, he was impressed with the job and officially promoted me as an associate. Although this experience was a very stressful experience, I can confidently say that it further thickened my skin.

"tell me about a time you had a conflict with a group project member and how you overcame this conflict opposite views and how you overcame it

"Warehouse product positioning S: our company recently moved to a new warehouse facility T: tasked to coordinate with USDA organic certification standards, construction of pallet rack and transporting products from northern california as acting warehouse manager all alone. A: The manager of daily shipments is an older lady who insisted on having the warehouse exactly the way she wanted. She even yelled at me for trying to organize a single pallet R: Despite my authority and prior floor planning, I respected her request and double checked that all product locations met her standard. I wanted to maintain a good relationship with her and I took this opportunity to make sure that I wasn't overlooking any errors. "

"Tell me about a time when someone asked you to do something unethical "

"Weightlifting S: several of my weightlifting teammates were going to national championships T: Coach told me that I would eventually need to start taking subtances to compete in higher level A: Despite unethical request, I gave it deep thought what this would mean. A) I would be able to become a recognized national level athlete B) I would have an unfair advantage in comparison to clean athletes C) I would risk my health. R: I chose to leave the team because deep in my heart I didn't want it that bad. Sure getting super strong and being famous sounds enticing, but it just wasn't mean. I'm a horrible liar and I would never feel satisfied knowing that I took a shortcut to achieve a so called greatness."

1. I am currently finishing my degree in biochemical engineering. I initially chose to study this discipline because I wanted to learn a technical major that would be applicable to any industry. Initially, I was hoping to apply my skills in process engineering and manufacturing. Recently I have worked as an associate for a joint wholesale and retail food manufacturing company where I learned more in depth about the food industry. As a relatively new company, I was assigned to several tasks, such as warehouse management, sales duty, customer service, leading business meetings for suppliers as well as clients. Looking back at this experience, I'm really blessed to have had this opportunity. But at the same time, I found myself not as excited working in the food industry because I had already seen how the industry worked. I wasn't so much curious anymore because I found out how it ticked. So naturally, I found myself looking at dynamic industries like consulting that can constantly challenge my thirst to solve puzzles. Just to let you know more about myself, I'm not your typical biochemical engineer who does research projects everyday. Sure I've participated in several projects, but I like to spend my time in social activities like fitness. I have coached the sport of olympic weightlifting for 3 years now, advising a variety of athletes ranging from adolescents to obese adults. 4. Whenever I'm not studying for chemical engineering or working at the food company, I use my limited personal time to continue to read more about my hobbies such as fitness to and further my own fitness journey as well as my clients. Overall, my main principle is to be always curious and to continue to share my passion and curiosity with those around me.

Why Capgemini?

When I first spoke with Elle at the career fair, she introduced Capgemini as a consulting group. And the more we talked, I quickly realized that Capgemini wasn't any consulting group. IT and technology consulting was its core business which was quite hard to grasp. When I went home and looked online, I was the range of businesses Capgemenini worked with such as automotive, chemical, manufacturing, to entertainment, which are all industries that I would like to work with. But besides your core business, I was sold on the fact that Capgemini provides tech training. I have always felt that learning IT and programming would be an invaluable tool considering Big DATA analytics has a major market segment share, but I never had the opportunity to learn coding. I've watched my sister learn how to code HTML JAVA and app development in merely 8 weeks. I'm not expecting such equivalent training, but the fact that Capgemini reinvests in his associate's growth was what truly convinced me.
