Metabolic syndrome (METS)

A cluster of factors associated with increased risk of coronary heart disease and diabetes- abdominal obesity indicated by a waist circumference of greater than or equal to 40 inches (102cm) in men and greater than or equal to 35 inches (88cm) in women; levels of triglyercide greater than or 150 mg/dl (1.7 mmol/L); HDL levels < 40 and 50mg/dl (1.0 and 1.3 mmol/l) in men and women respectively; blood-pressure levels greater than or equal to 130/85 mmHg; and fasting blood glucose levels of greater than or 110 mg/dl (6.1 mmol/L).

A network of lymphoid organs, lymph nodes, lymph ducts, lymphatic tissues, lymph capillaries, and lymph vessels that produce and transport lymph fluid to circulatory system.
