Complex Sentence
A complex sentence has one independent clause (IC) and at least one dependent clause (DC).
Dependent clause
a groups of words with a subject and verb that do not form a complete thought (this is not a sentence)
Conjunction
a word that connects words, phrases, or clauses
Once Spanish class was over, Rick and Carl went to history.
