Reasons for the February revolution: Fuel and Food shortages
-Women factory workers went on strike -Piles of snow and ice stopped trains from delivering food and supplies -Then the men went on strike -Rations were introduced -Some men would queue for hours to then be told they"d run out of bread
What was the February revolution?
A series of strikes and demonstrations actually starting on the 9th of January resulting in the Tsar abdicating ob behalf of himself and his son on the 2nd of March 1917
Reasons for the February revolution: Mutiny
-Bridges were closed across the river Neva -Soldiers in Petrograd were on the side of the protestors (against the Tsar) -People just walked across the frozen ice -Officers were told to shoot at them, -The officers shot 40 people then refused to continue

-Lots of soldiers weren't disciplined and were often cold and hungry -From January - March the average temperature was -12.1°c
