What is a revolution?
A revolution is when people forcibly overthrow a government or social order in favor of a new system.
Why and how did this happen?
It occurred when Parliament joined with William III and his wife Mary to dispose James II of England because of the fear of his Catholicism.
What was the Outcome?
The English government changed from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy. William of Orange and his wife Mary became King and Queen of England.
What was the Glorious Revolution?
The Glorious revolution was when William of Orange took the throne from King James II in 1688. It broke a permanent realignment of power within the English constitution.
Who were the main people involved?
William III, Mary ( Williams Wife), and King James the II (his daughter and wife as well)
