Explain the cause of pressure in gases in terms of particle behaviour

The air particles inside the object are moving quickly in all directions, with a lot of space between them.

Chemical properties- bubbling, permanent colour change and permanent change of state Physical properties- mass, density, colour, temperature, boiling point and volume

Explain diffusion of matter using particle model

Diffusion is faster in gases than liquids where there is more space for them to move

Describe the Kinetic (Particle) Model of matter

Every observation and every experiment can be explained with this model. It is now called a theory. The proper name for it is the Kinetic Theory (model of matter)

Explain the properties of solids, liquids and gases using the Particle Model

Liquid- Particles in a liquid have more kinetic energy than particles in a solid. Solids- like a solid, in which the particles only vibrate. Gases- like a gas, in which the particles are moving fast and on their own. Particles in a gas have the highest amount of kinetic energy.

Define matter as anything that has mass and takes up space.

Matter- Anything that has mass. The name of the states that in can occur in are solids, liquids and gases.

Solid- Something sturdy and sustainable Liquid- a compose of molecules that move freely among themselves Gas- a substance possessing perfect molecular mobility
