What does the "I" in the TICLS mnemonic stand for?
Interactiveness. How alert is the child? Is child reacting to what is going on around them?
What does the "L" in the TICLS mnemonic stand for?
Look or gaze. Does the child track objects appropriately? Does the child have a blank stare?
What does the "S" in the TICLS mnemonic stand for?
Speech or cry. Does the child have strong or weak cry? Is their speech garbled or confused?
What does the "T" in the TICLS mnemonic stand for?
Tone. Does the child have good tone? Is the child limp or listless?
