The Americas had many people coming into the country, as well as goods. This helped to create a prosperous economy. The society and culture became very diverse, as so many different goods and people from around the world were coming to America.

Explain how the goods exported from the Caribbean during the colonial period different from the goods exported from the Caribbean today.

Sugarcane, slaves, and molasses were exported during the colonial period. Today, goods like bananas, cacao, citrus fruits, and spices are exported. Today, all the goods are food, during the colonial period, slaves were being transported as well as food products.
