What is the purpose of the summary worksheet?

The summary worksheet uses 3D references to summarize data from our four worksheets - qty 1,2,3,4

What do formulas also reference

Formulas can also reference cells and ranges in other worksheets. Ex. the formula in cell B6 references cell E6 in the quarter 1 worksheet.

Name of Active sheet

The name of the active sheet in the worksheet group is in bold and a different color. In this worksheet group, Quarter 1 is the active sheet. (green color)

Results

The results displayed in cell F10 is the sum of values in cell E10 of the QTY 1,2,3,4 worksheets.

Worksheet Group

A collection of two or more selected worksheets. This worksheet group includes four worksheets.

3-D Reference

A reference to the same cell or range multiple worksheets in the same workbook. This 3-D reference refers to cell E10 in the Qty1,2,3,4 worksheets.

What can a worksheet group contain?

A worksheet group can contain adjacent or non adjacent worksheets. This worksheet group contains adjacent worksheets.

What can you do in the active sheet?

Anything you do in the active sheet - such as entering formulas, adding labels, and formatting, is automatically done to all sheets in the work sheet group, saving you time and ensuring consistency.

What do single quotation marks signify?

They surround a sheet and mark a sheet name that includes spaces, the qty 1 worksheet does intros formula.

How do you exit group edit mode?

You can click any tab outside the worksheet group to exit group-editing mode. In this case, clicking the DOCUMENTATION sheet tab ungroups the worksheets.
