Irregular Verb

These are verbs that do not follow standard conjugation rules

Verb Tense

This indicates the time of the action or state of being

Subject Verb Agreement

This is a rule that the subject and verb must be the same in number

Transitive Verb

This is a verb that conveys action that has an object

Intransitive Verb

This is a verb that conveys action that has no object

Linking Verb

This is a word that connects the subject to either a noun or adjective; They are either a form of "be" or other specific words

This is a word that denotes action, occurrence or existence

Future Tense

This is the form a verb takes when it expresses an action in later time; helping verbs (will and shall) accompany the main verb

Past Tense

This is the form a verb takes when it expresses an action that has already occurred; regular ones are formed by adding d or ed to the basic verb form

Present Tense

This is the form a verb takes when it expresses current action; In the third person singular (he, she, it), often add an s or es to the basic form of the verb

Perfect Tense

This is the tense formed by the use of "have" or "had", and indicate completed action

Verb Form

This relates to the principal parts of words that show action or states of being
