Rocky Mountain Range

A major mountain range in western North America that stretch more than 3,000 miles (4,800 km) from the northernmost part of British Columbia, in western Canada, to New Mexico, in the Southwestern United States.

Cascade Mountain Range

A major mountain range of western North America, extending 260 miles from southern British Columbia through Washington and Oregon to Northern California.

Appalachian Mountain Range

A mountain range in east North America, extending about 1,500 miles from south Quebec province in Canada to north Alabama in the United States.

Sierra Nevada Mountain Range

Mt. Rainier

At 14,410 feet above sea level, this peak is the highest mountain of the Cascade Range of the Pacific Northwest, and the highest mountain in the U.S. state of Washington. It is a large active stratovolcano located 54 miles (87 km) south-southeast of Seattle.

Mt. McKinley (renamed Denali in August 2015)

The highest mountain peak in North America, with a summit elevation of 20,310 feet (6,190 m) above sea level. Located in south central Alaska.

Mt. Whitney

The highest summit in the contiguous United States. It is located in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range and has an elevation of 14,505 feet (4,421 m). It is on the boundary between Inyo and Tulare counties in east central California.
