Justinian created Justinian code to decide legal questions. He built many churches including the famous Hagia Sophia. He gave children education. But most importantly anaged to remain in Rome during the Nika rebellion.

It affected Kiev because it enchanced trade and religious connection with the byzantine empire cause by them all following Christianity.

It was a culmination of many laws, it used opinions from the empire's greatest legal minds, and was easily passed on through a textbook

Justinian ruled almost all of the territory that Rome had ever ruled. The Justinian code allowed their to be laws that were understood. Hagia Sophia was the most splendid church in the Christian world. A patriarch was the leading bishop of the east. The icons were banned and people responded badly because they were used for worship. Excommunicate helped the icons from being unbanned. Cryillic was the alphabet for the Slavic lamguage.

What various methods did the Byzantine use to hold off their enemies?

The Byzantine used methods like bribes, diplomacy, political marriages, military power, strategic location, large walls and fleets of military ships.

How did the Byzantines help to preserve Greco-Roman culture?

The Byzantines help preserve by how families valued education, students were focused on Greek and Latin Grammar and philosophy. The students studied the classics of Homer, Euclid, Herodotus and Galen.
