Products & Services - iPhone, iWatch, Apple Music

Current products and services that Apple offers are the iPhone X, iPhone 8 Red, iWatch Series 3, iTunes, Apple Music, HomePod, AirPods, and Apple GiveBack. Apple is hoping to release some new extensions, products, and software. Some of these include the iPhone SE 2, iPhone XI, iPad Mini, iOS 12, watch OS 5, mac OS 10.14, tvOS 12, Mac Mini, Mac Pro, MacBook Air, Studio Pods, AirPower, Apple Pay Cash.

The Competition - Microsoft, Google

Apple and Microsoft were once clients but then they went into direct competition. When they started offering home computers, Microsoft outsold Apple due to their more affordable prices. Apple then beat Microsoft by moving into the smartphone market first, but soon after Microsoft created their own brand of smartphones. Google is another competitor who developed a high-tech operating system called Android for smartphones that compete with Apple.

R&D

​Apple is consistently investing into research and development. The technology company spent more than $3.4 billion on new staff and inventiveness to keep the company moving within the fast-paced market during their Quarter 1 of 2018. That is 4 percent of the company's net sales for the three-month quarter. They're next biggest project is a self driving car. They are expected to spend 10 million in R&D this year.
