Why did the 10th plague convince Pharaoh to release the Israelites?

He lost his only son to the Passover, and so Pharaoh was grief stricken and let the Israelites go because he didn't want anything else to happen to him. He then let the Israelites go.

Explain the purpose the Plagues God sent to Egypt.

He sent the plagues to make Pharaoh release the Israelites. He sent them to punish Pharaoh and the Israelites.

What did God tell Moses?

He tells Moses he must go to Egypt and help release the Israelites from slavery.

It formed the teachings people learned in order to live in the right relationship with God.

It is the sacred ground where God forms a Covenant with his Chosen People.

Both are based on love of God and love of neighbor.

What did Moses do when the Israelites he is leading out of Egypt are caught between the Pharaoh's chariots and the Red Sea?

He told them "The Lord himself will fight for you; you only have to keep still." Moses stretched his arms out over the sea, and God parted the sea and dried it so they could cross.

It was when God came to strike down all of the first born males, human and animals. God told the Israelites to mark their houses with the blood of a lamb, then eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs. God came on the first night and struck down all first born males, unless their houses were marked.

Laws and obligations the Israelites must follow. There are ten.

What did Moses do when he was an adult that caused him to flee Egypt?

Moses killed an Egyptian man that was mistreating an Israelite. Moses buried the man in the sand, but he was soon found. It was illegal for an Israelite to kill an Egyptian, so he had to run away.

What happened happened to him there?

Moses lived in Reuel's house, and married Zipporah, Reuel's daughter. He becomes a shepherd and lives a quiet life.

Which of Pharaoh's orders resulted in Moses being discovered and adopted by Pharaoh's daughter?

Pharaoh's order to kill all newborn male Israelite babies lead to Moses being adopted by the Pharaoh's daughter. She saw Moses floating down the river, and so Pharaoh let her adopt him. He was secretly nursed by his mother, and raised as an Israelite.

The Israelites will be his "special possession, dearer to him than all other people."

What was the attitude of the people of Israel toward God while they were in the midst of the desert? Why did they feel like this?

Their attitude was very unfaithful, they questioned if God was actually there with them. They felt like this because they were making a very hard journey to the Promise Land with very little food and water. They didn't think God was there with them.

Explain how manna and the Eucharist might be compared to each other.

They could be compared because they are unleavened bread, and both were given to people as sacrifices of some kind

What are the desert miracles experienced by the Israelites while they were in the desert?

They were when God rained down manna, brought the quail to the desert, and drew water from rock.
