Career

A career is a long-term pursuit of a lifelong ambition. An occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person's life and with opportunities for progress. It is also known as your vocation, profession or occupation .

Job

A job is something you do to in the short term to earn cash. A piece of work or task that you are paid for.

Salary

a fixed regular payment on a biweekly or monthly basis. Usually used for professionals or white- collar work

Wage

a fixed regular payment on a weekly or biweekly basis. Usually used for manual or unskilled work

Living Wage

a wage that is high enough to maintain a normal standard of living.

Minimum Wage

the lowest wage permitted by law or by a special agreement (such as one with a labor union).

Poverty Wage

minimum level of income deemed adequate in a country. This is usually put out by the government

Income

money received on a regular basis, usually through work or your investments

Cost of Living

The amount of money needed to sustain a certain level of living, including basic expenses such as housing, food, taxes, and healthcare. Cost of living is often used when comparing how expensive it is to live in one city versus another.

Benefits

is paid to employees through their job or career. It is not money.
