Describe in detail the unique way that a Starfish feeds on a Clam.

1.Tube feet attach itself to the prey (clam) and pry open the clam shell. 2. Stomach comes out of the mouth into the clam shell. 3. digestive juices come out and break down the clam. 4. Starfish then sucks up digested clam. *The digestions takes place inside the Clam.

Cephalopod description

Foot divided into tentacles or arms around its mouth, are carnivores and use tentacles to capture prey, tentacles have suckers on them.

What happens to an exoskeleton when an arthropod grows?

The exoskeleton does not grow or expand, so it is shed and a new larger one grows. This is called molting.

What is the "Water Vascular System" in echinoderms and what body part does it control?

The internal system of fluid-filled tubes in echinoderms that can contract, squeeze together forcing water into structures called tube feet. This enables the tube feet to (1)move slowly and (2)capture food.

Well developed, complex nervous system. Large brains that can remember things they learn. With huge eyes.
