Step 1

1. open chrome on the destop screen. 2. In the adress bar of chrome type developer.android.com/studio to download the current stable version of Android stuido. 3. On the Android Studio site select the link to download Andriod studio 4. Accept the terms and Condtions. 5. than click link to download andiod Studio 6. The link will show up at buttom on screen link on and select open when down This will allow the installation to run automatically.

Accept the defult account options, then select NEXT. You'll get a notice confirming your account is set up. Accept the default account name and enter LabConnection as your name, then slect NEXT.

Add your email adress [email protected] and select MANUAL SETUP. The email provider uses POP3 and SMTP. Select personal (POP3)

Choose the arrow icon for the Pixel VIrtual device to launch it. It will take a minute for your new vitual phone to start up. When it is ready, select the Google Browser to check operation. In the Google Browser , choose the YouTube shortcut to see if it will connect. It does connect, so slect the back arrow on the toolbar. Select the back arrow again to return to the Home screen . Choose the Power button on the AVD toolbar beside the device to turn it off.

I this Lab, You will create and emulated mobile device on your PC, This is done by frist installing the Android Virtual Studio. You will then use that program to create the device. Your Machine is prepared. Virtulization is enabled in UEFI/BIOS and Hyper-V is disabled in the operating sytem.

Lab 9-2 Configuring Mobile email

In this Lab, we will use an emulated Andriod smartphone to configure our mobile email acess, follow the steps provided to manually configure the email client on a monile device.

Now choose Oreo Android 8.1 and download the image. You must accept the License Agreement to contine. Choose Accept and Next. You will see the image donwload and install. This takes a few mintues, so we'll speed that up for you. Selct finish when the installation is complete. Select Next and accept the default AVD Name and selcect Finish.

Now remove the email account from the mobile device. select the setting icon on the menu bar. Acess Users & Accounts. Select the new email account . Select REMOVE ACCOUNT and them confirm. Select the Back arrow, then the Home button to clear the screen.

Open the Gmail App and select add email adress. Gmail can automtically configure mail from many providers. Becuase it's essential that you known how to manually configure email on a mobile device, Select Other.

Select Yes in the User Account Window pop up. The Andoid Setup begains. Select Next here and accept all of the default installation options. When the installation is complete, selct Finish.

Send an email to your new account. The subject is Test and the message is Test Andriod email. Select send icon.

When Android Studio Launches automatically. Select the Configure button and choose AVD Manger. Select Create Virtual Device in the Android Vitural Device Manager. Now Select the Hardware device defention Pixel XL and select Next.

When you're finished, review the settings and select TAKE ME TO GMAIL. Select the compose icon.

You'll see the message arrive. Open the Test email. Reply to the email wih the text Sucess! Check the inbox for both emails. Click the Home Button to clear the screen.

add the outgoing server setting smtp.comcast.net for email provider. When you're ready, select NEXT.

enter P@ssw0rd he password and select Next. Add the incoming server mail.comcast.net setting for your email provider. When you're ready select Next.
