What was a negative thing about your past job(s)?
One negative thing about my past job was actually at the daycare center, I was the youngest person working there and so I was ostracized by my fellow coworkers and it wasn't the best time. I was also working over every week and had asked my schools director if I could have a few less hours so I could go back to school when summer ended and I was told no. Sadly because of those situations I did have to leave the school and it was a horrible thing to leave because I loved those kids with my whole heart!
How is _______ in two parks at once?
Tinker bell actually gave them some of her pixie dust so they could travel around faster!
Have you ever been in an emergency situation? What would you do if you were in one?
Yes actually! While working at the daycare I was returning to the infant classroom after my break and we had a baby who absolutely LOVED to look outside our door at the people passing by and when I went back she was at the door holding it so I couldn't get in. It was all fun and games but then I noticed blood on the door window. When she was by the door she cut her finger open on the head of a nail and actually had to get stitches. If I were in another emergency situation I would make sure to first asses the situation and then leap into action. you need to have a clear idea of what's happening before anything else just so you don't make any mistakes
Are you comfortable cleaning up after children?
Yes! Cleaning after children was a big part of working at the daycare
Are you comfortable teaching a line dance?
Yes! I love line dancing!! In high school I actually took aerobics each of the 4 years and one of our units was line dancing and we would learn line dances and create our own and then we would go teach line dances to middle school pe classes!
Are you cpr certified?
Yes! I was first aid and cpr certified so that I could work at the daycare
Are you able to help maintain crowd control?
Yes! Part of link crew was helping to maintain the crowds at our freshman pep rally! And I'm general I helped with crowd control at assemblies!
Tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult guest?
Yes! So working in fast food you can encounter a lot of people who aren't happy with certain things so I definitely have no shortage of quote on quote bad experience. This one time that I can clearly remember I was actually working backbooth at McDonald's and a lady pulled up to the speaker clearly upset letting me know multiple times that the last time she was at our store she was charged for something and did not receive it. I was very sympathetic with her because there's nothing worse than paying for something that you have been craving and then not receiving it! I kept telling her I would personally make sure that everything she had ordered would make it into her bag and she wasn't happy still. And was starting to yell at me. To avoid a larger situation I offered to throw in a large side of fries for her for free and that certainly made her a lot happier.
Are you comfortable with preparing food using a grill or fryer?
Yes!! I am actually one of the only cross trained people at my McDonald's so I spend a bit of time in the kitchen using the gril land fryer
Do you have roommates? How do you guys deal with your problems? What are some problems that come up?
Yes!! I currently live with 2 other girls! Living in such close proximity to other people you are bound to have a few issues every once in awhile! I think our biggest problem is figuring out chores! Sometimes we will have dishes that start to pile up in the sink and soemone wi eventually get upset about it. When we have little arguements the beat thing we can do it communicate with each other about them!
Are you able to memorize long speeches or spiels?
Yes!! I have quite a bit of practice! Back in the 6th grade my teacher would give us different poems each week and we'd have to memorize them and recite them in front of the class!
Are you comfortable speaking in front of large groups?
Yes!! In high school I was in leadership class and link crew which is basically a smaller leadership role! Being in leadership you are in charge of the assemblies and pep rallies which requires that you do a lot of public speaking!
Are you comfortable handling money and a cash register?
Yes!! My main job at McDonald's is handling the cash register and all the money!
Why can't ________talk?
____ cAnt y'all because they are saving their voice for a show!
Why does ______need to take a break?
____ needs a quick break to go ...(ex.mickey has to go take Pluto for a quick walk or Elsa is threatening eternal winter again, Anna had to go fix it!!
If a bag of chips costs $1.50 and a guest wanted to buy 3 bags, how much would you owe them if they gave you $10?

Do you feel comfortable operating a ride?
At first it seemed a little intimidating but I'm sure with practice I'd get used to it
How would you handle a child being rough with a character?
First off I would make sure the character is a safe distance away from the child. Next I would try talking to the child. Maybe ask them to think about the characters feelings! Tell them it makes the character said. And that the character just wants to be friends!
Why do you want to do the program?
I actually have 2 separate answers for this! The more generic answer is that it is the disney college program after all and it seems to be everyone's dream to work there! Ever since I was a child I've always wanted to work for Disney. Even now everytime I go to a park I'm trying to figure out how I can get a job there! And the more personal answer, I would love a fresh start! And what better pace to get that fresh start than at Disney? I really want to get out of my comfort zone and try new things and see if I am capable of fully being on my own!
What are you most looking forward to?
I am most looking forward to helping create the magic for guests and meeting all these different people who are also applying for the program! I'm really excited to meet people from very different walks of life! And also I'm just looking forward to getting out of my city!! I've been in one place my whole life and I'm excited for something new!
Would you be comfortable working independently with little to no guest interaction?
I am not entirely sure! I'm a very friendly person and I love being around people.
What can you offer the Disney college program?
I can offer hard work and dedication! I've been told by many people that whenever I do anything I seem entirely dedicated to whatever it is and my managers at McDonald's tell me all the time that I am one of the most hardworking crew members they have. I can also bring optimism! I believe especially in the work place it's important to stay optimistic even in not so happy situations.
Do you have any experience with hair and makeup?
I have quite a few young cousins who love having me do their hair and their nails but that's all. I don't have experience with make up.
Are you comfortable working independently at a food cart?
I love working with other people so it would take some getting used to but I'd love the amount of guest interaction!
What experience do you have with children?
I used to work at a daycare as an assistant morning infant teacher! And after the afternoon assistant teacher would clock in I would go and be an assistant teacher in any other classroom that needed my help. I also babysit regularly
If the phone was ringing, you were helping a guest on the register, and another customer needed help what order would you help them?
I would answer the phone and ask the person if they could please hold. I'd then apologize to the customer at the register, and then I'd go help the other customer
What would you do if a parent or child didn't like the hair or makeup?
I would apologize! And the. Ask them what in particular they didn't like and see if I can't fix it for them! I would not let them leave upset because I want them to have the best experience they can have!
Why do you want to be a character attendant?
I would love to be a character attendant because you are closer to the magic!! You get to watch as people of all ages have little magic moments EITH whoevwr you are attending!
What would you do if a guest wanted a certain item but the store was out of them?
I would offer to have someone check the back and if we didn't have it I could tell them where else they might be able to find it. If not I can offer to have it sent to their room when we get the next shipment or have it reserved for them
What would you do if a child was hesitant to get dressed or have her hair and makeup done?
I would start by reassuring the child that everything would be okay. I'd then tell them ______is waiting to see you dressed just like them!! You guys can take pictures together and everything!
How would you entertain a child without toys?
If I were to be entertaining a child without a toy I would just talk to the child! Children LOVE to talk. If you can find the right subject you can keep them talking for hours. If talking doesn't work I'd play little games with them like Rock Paper Scissors, thumb wrestling, or even I-spy. And if all else fails sing with them! Kids love music
What would you do if you were to mess up a spiel?
If I were to mess up a spiel I'd try to joke around about it. Maybe say something like " uh oh I think Ursula is trying to mess with my voice!"
What would you do if a child was too short to ride a ride?
If a child was too short to ride a ride first of all I would apologize to them! And next up I would ask to see their map and show them where they could find rides that they were able to ride! And maybe I'd give them a sticker or something cool to make them feel better. And then I'd encourage them to come back to ride the ride when they were taller!
What would you tell a guest if the line was closed to see a character?
If a guest was waiting to see a character but the line was closed I'd apologize first of all and then I'd tell them the next time that this character would be out and where they would be. And then I'd tell them where they can find other characters
How would you handle pin trading?
Never say no to someone wanting to trade!
Would you be comfortable cleaning someone's room while they were not there?
Not sure!! It would feel like I am invading their space! I'm sure with time I would feel more comfortable
