Is having a driver license a privilege or a right? Why?

It is a privilege. State law allows or requires an individual's driving privilege to be suspended for certain motor vehicle violations which means the license will be taken away and the driver will not be permitted to drive for a period of time.

There are two different kinds; points can be the amount of points given to documents to receive your license or the amount violations you commit while having your license.
