This story consist of a knight who rapped a young maiden and the Queen has offered him an ordeal. The Knights ordeal is to find out what women want the most. He finds an old hag that knows the correct answer, but the only way he can get his answer from her is if he does whatever she ask (any request). She wants him to marry her and at first he is mad and doesn't want to but the Queen made him.

Because the Pope thought he should be in charge of everything like the King, and not just the Church. Since the Pope ruled the church he thought he was right under God. King Henry II went to Thomas a Becket to ask what he thought about the idea, and Thomas agreed with the Pope. The King was so mad so he thought of away to get Thomas to change his mind, so he told Thomas he would name him Archbishop of Canterbury. Thomas said he would take the offer, but he wasn't talking to the Pope. King was so mad he went back to his knights and told them that he was so mad at Thomas he could kill him (figure of speech). The knights went to Canterbury and killed Thomas, the King was so mad. The King made a memorial stone and made him a saint.

The 3 rioters found gold so they all had a specific plan to kill the other, so they wouldn't have to split all of the gold. The first two rioters had a plan that when the third rioter went to the store to buy bread and wine when he got back they were going to play wrestle and stab him with a knife. Not knowing the rioter that went to get bread and wine had his own plan to get all the gold to himself. When he purchased the wine and bread he went and bought poison to put in the wine. When he arrived back at the house the 2 rioters plan worked, so after they killed him that got the wine to celebrate and as they drunk it they both died.

The Green Knight swung at Gawain's neck 3 times, and on the last swing he cut Gawain because when the Lady gave Gawain the green sash he didn't give it to the Lord of the castle like he asked, he kept the sash and hid it from him. Gawain is ashamed of himself because he used an object to protect his own life instead of having faith and trusting God, he was ashamed of being a coward and getting tricked by the Green Knight.
Explain Chivalry and tell how it came to be created.
The Knights wanted to form a brotherhood which was chivalry, this word means a code of conduct that the knights lived by. Examples were to be fair on the battlefield, sensitive to women, loyal to God, and just a decent person. They wanted to make something that would rank how people were so they created a hierarchy. The first on the list were the Kings, then the Vassels called Thanes, the peasants and then the slaves. The peasants were free and could travel and find jobs, while slaves weren't free and could only travel if dead or sold. The peasants and the slaves combined are called serfs.

it has 3 circles of stones that have magical powers, construction took place in2000-1800 BC; took 3,000 years to be completed. The 1st stone is the smallest, made of bluestones only found in Wales, 240 miles from Stonehenge. Each stone weighted 4 tons a piece. They say its a mystery maybe it's magic but possibly the pulley system that moved the stones. The 3rd stone is made up of 25 stones weighted a minimum of 4 tons a piece only 75 miles from Salisbury. They found different things such as bones, animals, humans, tools, dishes, and cups. Grendel put a spell on all swords that wouldn't penetrate his skin. Beowulf twisted his arms so much his shoulders ripped out. He knew Grendel would bleed out, and he then hung his claw in the mead hall over the raptors. How a boy becomes a knight.
To become a knight, your parents need to have money to buy a horse, armor, and weapon. At the age of 7 a boy can go and live with a knight, and the knight teaches him how to sang, dance, read, write, good manners, and how to sword fight. When a boy turns 14, he is considered a squire pretty much like a slave. A squire takes care of the horses, makes sure the weapons and armor are cleaned and prepares meals. If they want to continue being a squire they can, but if they do something heroic like save the knight or something brave then the Knight can have a ceremony called Dubbing and make the squire a knight. During this kind of ceremony, the person becoming a knight has to make a vow, it usually has something to do with a sword. When you become a knight you receive the title Sir, if it is a woman knight they are called Dames.
