Five branches of Philosophy tree and the questions they ask
Political Philosophy
Question: "What actions are permissible?" Tells you how a society must be set up and how one should act within society.
Ethics
Question: "What should I do?" What is the proper course of action for man? study of right and wrong Ethics is a requirement for life.
Metaphysics
Question: What is, or what is out there? It is the foundation of philosophy, and it questions existence. "Are we living for real, or is this life an illusion?"
Philosophy of Religion
Question: "Does God exist and what is He like?" The philosophical examination of the central themes and concepts involved in religious traditions.
Epistemology
Question: "How do we know?" Epistemology is the explanation of how we think. Without epistemology, we could no basis for our thinking.
Ontology
Ontology: "onto"= "being/that which is" "logos"="study of" the philosophical study of the nature of being, becoming, existence, or reality, what entities exist or can be said to exist,
