He sees himself as dirty. He says what is the point of this world. He sees the world as a patch of land filled with crap. This world is possessed by things that are rotten. Unhappy soliloquy. He then goes to the source of the unhappiness. My dad sun god. My uncle, goat. He credits Gertrude's new marriage as a weakness. He is dealing with loss of independence. He is stuck in Denmark. What is important about Horatio's allusion to Julius Caesar

Horatio in particular sees the ghost as an ill omen boding violence and turmoil in Denmark's future, comparing it to the supernatural omens that supposedly presaged the assassination of Julius Caesar in ancient Rome (and which Shakespeare had recently represented in Julius Caesar). "our attribute" Hamlet is against the tradition because he says we are better people than this. It is embarrassing to be known for this dumb tradition. Claudius is leading into this tradition and doing it.
