How do cells work together
Liver
Is an organ that produces chemicals that flow into the small intestine to help in digestion. The liver also removes toxins from the blood.
Nerve Tissue
Is found in the brain, the spinal cord, nerves, and sensory receptors.
Connective Tissue
Adds support and structure to body, fills space, and stores fat. Blood, bone, cartilage, and fat cells.
Tissue
A group of specialized cells with the same structure and function.
Organ
A structure that contains at least two types of tissue that work together to perform a specific function.
Digestive
Absorb nutrients from the food.
Lungs
Are organs that supply oxygen to and remove carbon dioxide from the blood. Lungs are made up mainly of epithelial tissue and connective tissue.
Digestive system
Break down food into smaller units that cells take up.
Cardiac Muscle
Contracts to move blood around body.
Smooth Muscle
Does involuntary movements such as breathing.
Senses
Ears, eyes, nose, tongue, and skin.
Four Types Of Tissue
Epithelial Tissue, Connective Tissue, Muscle Tissue, Nerve Tissue
...
In any multicellular organisms, group of cells make tissues. Two or more tissues make an organ. All the organs In an organ system work together. they all make up the organisms.
Integumentary system
Includes the skin, hair, and nails, which protect the body.
Pancreas
Is an organ covered with connective tissue. Inside pancreas are tissue that produce enzymes that aid digestion.
Heart
Is an organ that is mostly made up of muscle tissue. The heart is surrounded by connective tissue, contains nerve cells, and is covered with epithelial tissue. All the tissues in the heart work together so the heart can pump blood through the body.
Endocrine
Makes and sends chemicals call hormones to help control body actives.
Skeletal Tissue
Moves the bones of the skeleton when directed by the brain to do so.
Nerves
Send messages to and from the brain and the spinal cord.
Skeletal and muscular system
Work together to provide support and movement for the body.
