Temple concerns:

-A sunken temple is usually large enough for radiating -Use multiple points of entry as necessary -Make sure that you will fill the temple completely, no sharpness between the line of the temple and the tissue builder

Hidden points of entry: Cheeks

-Angle of the jaw -Behind wing of the nose -Behind the tragus -Behind the ear lobe -Corners of the mouth

Lips Concerns:

-Be careful not to over inject -Inject each side separately - Inside the nostrils is mainly for the integumentary lips

Hidden points of entry: Back of hand

-Behind the closest knuckles -Wrists

Hidden points of entry: Lips

-Behind the medial lobe -Nostrils -Lateral corners of the line of lip closure

Hidden points of entry: Eyeballs

-Between the inner canthus or medial corner -Direct along the bony edge of the cavity until you hit the fatty pad, then inject

Hidden points of entry: Fingers

-Between the knuckles -Sides of fingers

Hidden points of entry: Nose

-Bridge -Inside the nose

Hidden points of entry: Forehead

-Eyebrows (up) -Hair (down)

Hidden points of entry: Supraorbital Area

-In the eyebrows

Hidden points of entry: Lobe

-Lobe -Behind top of the helix

Hidden Points of Entry: Neck/Submandibular area

-Lower center of the chin -Inside the ear -Behind the lobe -Angle of the jaw

Chemicals (you'll need for the project!)

-Massage cream -Tissue Builder (Firming or regular) -Tissue builder solvent -Needle -Syringe

Hidden points of entry: Temples

-Outer edge of eyebrows -Hairline above the temple -Behind the top of the ear -Sideburn

Cheek Concerns:

-Pay attention to the nasolabial fold (don't smooth it away) -Use a finger or a flat instrument to help define it -Typically requires 2 opposite points of entry

General Procedure:

-Select injection point -Insert needle at end of the area to be built -Depress plunger and slowly withdraw -For larger areas, radiate needle using the same entry point -Slowly inject until the surface of the skin is slightly above surrounding areas -Smooth with digital pressure

The difference between firming and regular tissue builder is that

Firming contains formaldehyde

Hypodermic Tissue Building

Injection of a special tissue building liquid through use of syringe and needle to restore natural contour

Syringe

Instrument used to inject or aspirate fluids

Contour

Outline or surface form

To prepare needle with massage cream:

Remove head of syringe and use spatula to fill

Tissue Builder

Substance used to elevate sunken or emaciated tissue to normal level by hypodermic injection

To prepare needle with tissue builder:

Suction, pour through back, hold upright and press plunger to remove air bubbles

Common Places for Tissue Builder

-Temple -Eyes -Lips -Cheeks -Hands -Supraorbital Area -Mouth -Neck -Forehead -Chin

Hidden points of entry: Sides of hands

-Thumb and forefinger -Baby finger at knuckle

Supraorbital Area concerns:

-Watch for puffiness caused by tissue builder leaking into the infraorbital area while injecting the eyeball -Place your finger lightly on the eyelid to control where your tissue builder goes -When injecting the supraorbital area, inject downward as opposed to horizontal

Hypodermic

Applied or administered under the skin
