72 hours = how many days?
3 days 24 + 24 + 24 = 72 *Don't forget 24 hrs. = 1 day
What are some examples of multiples of 10? For example, any number that is 10X 12 = 120; 10 X 13 = 130
All multiples of 10 all end with a zero. Any number that is increasing by 10, will be a multiple of the 10. Example: 350 (35 X 10=350), 200 (20 X 10= 200), (9X10=90) etc.
3yd. = ____Ft.
1) Find out how many ft in 1yd - 3ft = 1yd 2) Multiply the 3' above by the number of yards - 3yd x 3' = 9'ft
24 in. = _____ft.
1) Find out how many inch = 1 foot - 12 in. = 1 ft. 2) Now Divide the number of inches you have by the number of inches in a foot - 24" / 12" = 2ft.
What numbers/factors of 9?
1, 3, 9 Factors of 69: 1, 3, (23 =23X3) and 69
What are the 3 types of fractions?
1. Proper Factions 2. Improper Fractions 3. Mixed Fractions
What are some examples of multiples of 2? For example, any number that is 2X 12 = 24; 2 X 13 = 26
Any number that is increasing by 2, will be a multiple of the 2. Example: 30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 40 etc......see picture for more examples. Any number is a multiple of 2 look at the last digit. If it is 0,2,4,6,or 80,2,4,6,or 8, then the number is a multiple of 2.
What are some examples of multiples of 5? For example, any number that is 5X 12 = 60; 5 X 13 = 65
Any number that is increasing by 5, will be a multiple of the 5. Example: 50, 75, 90 etc. All multiples of 5 end with either 5 or 0. Just like we identify multiples of 2 by looking at the last digit, we can identify multiples of 5 by looking at the last digit.
When changing inches to feet (small to large), you must divide or multiply?
Divide- by 12" since this = 1'ft
What is the correct name of the number inside a division problem?
Dividend (see picture)
What is the correct name of the number outside a division problem?
Divisor (see image)
When changing yards to feet (large to small), you must divide or multiply?
Multiply- the yards by the number of feet in 1 yard (3ft to a yard)
What is the correct name of the number on top a division problem?
Quotient
What are some examples of multiples of 3? For example, any number that is 3X 12 = 36; 3 X 13 = 39
The pattern for multiples of 3 is based on the sum of the digits. If the sum of the digits of a number is a multiple of 3, then the number itself is a multiple of 3. See the example: 24 (2 + 4 = 6) and 6 is a multiple of 3 Multiples of 3: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36, 39,
Are you able to reduce 16/20?
Yes, divide both by 4= 4/5
