What is the World Organization of Webmasters(WOW) ?
WOW is a professional association dedicated to the support of individuals and organizations that create and manage websites.
How did the W3C get started?
During the browser wars Microsoft and Netscape focused on new features instead of fixing problems. Developers at the time were forced to deal ever increasing confusion when trying to build websites sometimes to the extent of building two different but effectively duplicate sites for the two main browsers, and other times just choosing to support only one browser and block others from using their sites. n 1994, Tim Berners-Lee founded the WWW Consortium (W3C) at the MIT, with support from CERN, DARPA (as ARPA had been renamed to) and the European Commission. The W3C's vision was to standardize the protocols and technologies used to build the web such that the content would be available to as wide a population of the world as possible.

JavaScript Web APIs 1. script is a programming language that doesn't pre-processing before running. In the context of a Web browser, scripting usually refers to Javascript that is executed by the browser when a page is downloaded or response to a trigger by the user. 2. Dynamic HTML without reloading a new version of a page it may allow modifications to the content of that page 3. This additional interactivity makes Web pages behave like a traditional software application. These Web pages are often called Web applications and can be made available either directly in the browser as a Web page, or can be packaged and distributed as Widgets.
Who can join the W3C? What does it cost to join?
Membership in W3C is open to all types of organizations (including commercial, educational and governmental entities) and individuals. Any entity that can sign the Membership Agreement can become a Member. Members may be either for-profit or not-for-profit organizations. Most Members invest significant resources into Web technologies. They may be developing Web-based products, using Web technologies as an enabling medium, conducting research on the Web, or developing specifications based on W3C work.
