Subjectivism

If I believe X is morally right, then (for me) it is morally right. What makes it right? The fact that I believe it is. If you disagree with me, neither one of us is correct or incorrect. We just have different (perhaps competing) moral values. There is no "true" morality against which to judge either of our opinions.

it's objective

If a claim must be either true or false (even if we're not sure which), and, if, in the case of disagreement, at least 1 person must be mistaken

Objective moral theories

claim that what is morally right or wrong is universally so, independently of our own opinions (i.e., applicable to all people at all times).

Objective

claims appeal to "facts," and are independent of our opinions/preferences.

Subjective

claims appeal to "opinions," and are often merely expressions of personal preference

The 2 main types of subjective theories

cultural relativism and subjectivism.

Subjective moral theories

do not claim believe that what is right and wrong to all people at all times.
